Sensing E-textiles

Knitted structures can be versatile in e-textiles, enabling different textural qualities as well as sensing capabilities. As my work in sensing e-textiles has developed, I have have looked at sensing a greater number of interactions through knitted e-textiles. This ranges from touch sensing fringing, using in the Sensory Wall, to gesture sensing textiles. All projects make use of open-source hardware and software, making adopting the technique accessible to a wide range of people.
